The course is intended for anyone, 14 years of age or older, who wants to take the time to learn first aid and CPR. Participants gain confidence, skills and knowledge in providing assistance to others in emergencies by applying simple first aid methods safely.
The course is 12 hours, 6 hours each day. It can be evaluated for credits in most high schools, for additional driving licenses and more. To be safe, those who need to complete first aid courses as part of their work or studies are advised to seek confirmation in advance whether the course is valid.
Please note that a sufficient number of participants is required for the course to be held. Participants must be registered before the course begins and on-site registrations will not be accepted. If the course is full, additional participants cannot be added.
Please note that the price is not refunded if cancellation is received less than 3 days before the course starts, without a doctor's certificate.
No refreshments will be served, so people are encouraged to bring their own.
For further information, please call 570-4000 or email skyndihjalp@redcross.is.
