What are "Friends of humanity"?

Friends of humanity are monthly donors that support all humanitarian work of the Red Cross. The donations are divided equally between domestic and international projects.
Domestically, Friends of humanity support harm reduction services, civil protection services, support for refugees, the Helpline 1717 and the online chat 1717.is, among other projects.

Internationally, Friends of humanity support the work of national societies to improve living conditions in their respective countries, emergency responses in areas affected by conflict or natural disasasters, as well as long term development cooperation in various places, including Malawi and Sierra Leone.
