Network after imprisonment

There are many things to keep in mind when imprisonment ends and it is important to have support when such a major change occurs. It can be good to have support and guidance. For that we have the project Network after imprisonment.

Helpline 1717 and chat 1717.is

No issue is too big or small for the helpline. Annually we receive about 15.000 contacts that are as diverse as they are many. Our volunteers are professionally trained, well-experienced and of all ages.

Harm reduction

The projects offer clean injection equipment, condoms and advice on safe injection methods in order to prevent bloodborne diseases such as HIV and Hepatitis C.

First aid

The Icelandic Red Cross supervises the teaching of first aid in the country. It trains instructors, supplies the material to be taught and makes sure the subject is taught by the most up to date methods.

Social isolation
