Principles in practice: Responding to racism as Red Cross volunteers
Nordic webinar for volunteers
Monday 2.11.2026
We warmly invite all interested Red Cross volunteers to take part in this Nordic webinar. You are welcome whether you are already involved in equality, anti-racism or migration work, or simply interested in learning more about racism and how to counter it as a volunteer. The webinar is relevant for all Red Cross volunteers, as racism and questions of inclusion are increasingly present across our work in rapidly diversifying societies.
Purpose of the webinar is:
• To learn why the Red Cross is working against racism
• Get inspired by different nordic volunteer activities against racism
• Get practical tools for taking action against racism in Red Cross volunteer activities
• Experience the larger community of Red Cross volunteers across the Nordic countries
.
The webinar will be held on Monday 2.11.2026 at 16:30-18:00 Icelandic time (17:30-19:00 Danish/Norwegian/Swedish time, 18:30-20:00 Finnish time). It is organized in Teams, and the language of the webinar is English.
Please register here below in "Skráning" by October 28. You will then receive an email with a further registration link via the Finnish Red Cross Oma-event platform Oma Punainen Risti.
